Hi,

I'm developing a theme and going to use the theme.info file to place my theme settings. The problem is that every time I put too many characters into string as in here:

I get The connection was reset in Firefox (Error 101 (net::ERR_CONNECTION_RESET): Unknown error. in Chrome) upon refreshing. 'Too many' is 332 characters. No errors with any number less than 332.
What could be the problem? It looks like some PHP/MySQL configuration but what exactly.

My client's website is running drupal 5.19 on a web share hosting.
Server configuration is as following
php5.1.6
apache 2.2.3
mysql 5.0.77

The contract with the hosting is going to be expired and want to relocate the website to our hosting.
I backuped mysql db and drupal's files to my local development machine where running wamp server with

apache 2.2.21
php 5.2.11
mysql 5.5.16

I copied a remote drupal installation to my local server (WAMP) and also copied the database. The site works fine, and I can log in as administrator, but if I try clicking on any of the admin menus I get the message "The connection was reset. The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading."
Any ideas?

I've searched the forums and see a lot of people get this problem, but can't find a solution. My old machine died and I am trying to get my test site moved over. Should be simple, install Wamserver and copy my site folder, drupal and all.

I can access and use all the features of the website, but I can NOT use any item on the admin menus other than add content. I get a "connection was reset" error in all browsers.

localhost on working site:

Windows XP (32bit)
Wampserver 2.1 (32bit)
Mysql 5.5.8
PHP 5.3.5
Apache 2.2.17

When import .po file on server following problem occurred,

The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading

So, I've been running a development server with no problems for a good year or so - without caching. It's worked beautifully, until today, when I decided to enable caching under the Performance settings. Immediately after doing so, I received a "Connection was reset" error in Firefox, and it won't go away. I can reach update.php, but that's about it. /user and /admin give me the connection reset error.

I tried going into the DB and manually deleting all caches. No dice.

Any ideas?

Hi, I'm moving website to a new server (from linux to windows - apache) (not mine, it is client's site). I'm moving website and db too.

But when I tri to open the new webpage I just get error "Connection was reset" (in browser).
I tried to empty cache_% tables in db but it did not help.

Any ideas?

I have searched a lot, and tried many of the tricks/tips you guys offered (cache clearing, turn off css compression, pcre, cck module changes etc.); but none of these could solve my issue with the "connection reset error" that appears in Firefox or "Page cannot be displayed error" that appears in IE, when I open my modules page in the admin panel (admin/build/modules).

Also tried editing the http.conf, php and mysql settings, but to no success.

I have working instalation of drupal 6.2 site. I got it from client and now i need to do some changes like adding language and stuff like that.
On my online testing server everything works great. As i moved down the changes i realized that ppl that used to work on this site were hard coding data into custom modules etc. So what i need now is fast file search etc. For that, i have to move site localy on my local testin server (ubuntu, apache etc.).
When i move files and database Firefox gives me this error:
